HAIR CARE FOR FUSION HAIR

1. Schedule regular appointments with your hairstylist for trims, tightening and the addition of new bonds. Depending on the method of fusion used and proper care these appointments are usually scheduled every 2 to 3 months.
2. Comb hair with a wide tooth comb starting at the ends and work your way up to the scalp. Follow up by brushing with a natural bristle brush using the same method. This will remove tangles that put strain on the fusion hair extension bonds. Perform this step at least 2 times a day.
3. Tilt your head back and start at the scalp and work to the ends when shampooing hair. Massage the scalp gently, and do not rub shampoo into the bonds. Rinse hair with warm water and be careful to remove all shampoo to prevent residue buildup and dandruff.
4. Condition the ends of the extensions only. Conditioner can weaken and remove bonds if applied directly on them.
5. Blow dry hair immediately after washing.
6. Gently braid or wrap your hair extensions before bedtime.
7. Apply styling products in moderation--and do not use oil based products. Oils will cause the bonds to release from the hair.
8. Schedule an appointment with your hairstylist if you need to color or relax your hair. These products can damage fusion hair bonds if applied improperly.

TIPS FOR EXTENSIONS
It is recommended to blow dry your extensions.  But take care because very hot settings can do damage just like your own hair!   Synthetic hair extensions are very vulnerable to heated styling appliances, overheated straightening irons are forbidden. The excessive use of flat and curling irons can damage the quality of extensions. Avoid burning it, remember it won't grow back.Avoid applying hair care products to the roots, only to the tips. While swimming, swim cap is absolutely necessary, in general water and especially salt water can easily deteriorate your hair. Finally changing the color of your hair extensions must not be done at home, leave it for a professional.
After hair extensions were applied avoid washing it sooner than 24 hours, you'll only spoil the result. You don't want to ruin the desired effect by being too careless.
Try to maintain your hair as clean as possible.
Brush it carefully before washing in order to keep the extensions disentangled. Use a soft bristled brush and head from bottom to top.
Wash your hair with care! Wet it gradually beforehand.

Use products that will soften your hair, however take care of the amount of conditioner you use, don't exaggerate you'll hair will only tangle. Run your fingers through your hair several times a day in order to keep it separated.

Try to use a shampoo that doesn't contain sulfates.  This can weaken your bonds.  I find organic shampoos are best.

It is forbidden to sleep on wet hair, you won't be able to disentangle it later, make it completely dry.

How Often Should I Wash My Extensions?

We advise that you only wash when really needed. Usually extensions should be washed only about every 8-15 wears, depends on how often you wear them,  how often you use heat on them,  and how much styling products you use on them. We advise that you only wash them every few weeks. If you for example, smoke, workout, and sleep with them on everyday, then you most likely would need to wash them more often (since smoke and sweat can cause odor in your hair as would your natural hair). If you use a ton of products in them such as hair spray, then it may be best to wash them daily as well. As long as you wash them properly and comb them gently and air dry them as advised, then washing them often shouldn't be a problem, although that might lower the length of extended quality of your extensions. Even with many washes, your hair extensions should last a long time. But if you really do not have to wash them daily, then try to go as long as possible in between washes. Virgin hair can be washed a bit more often due to its lifespan is much longer since the hair has not been processed in anyway.

What's the best way to brush my hair extensions?
We strongly advised on using any wide-tooth comb, extension loop brush, or a smoothing brush to prevent less "shedding". ALL hair extensions eventually shed a little bit depending on how often you use or wear them. They eventually shed a little more and more. However, the best way to ensure they last much longer is by combing them from the "bottom UP" and gently holding the top where the clips are and not combing them too harshly. It's advised to only comb them when they are completely dry. Even if they tangle after each wash, by letting them air dry, and using a detangler by gently combing through, will help get any tangles out.

Can I sleep with my extensions on?
Yes, but again we advise that you don't because it can damage the clips making them "flattened out" to where you cannot open and snap them open or close again. It can also create more tangling and may not be very comfortable. Do it at your own risk.

Is It Ok to swim with my hair extensions?
We highly recommend that you do not because the chlorine can be very damaging and drying to them as your own hair would be. If you do want to swim , try to at least put your hair in a bun or do not wear your extensions while swimming or bathing. Do it at your own risk.
Where Should I keep my extensions when not using them?
The gift package we ship with your extensions are perfect for keeping them safely stored away. You can however, use any box or shoe box as a safe way to keep them when not using them. We strongly advise that storing them in a box away while still "damp" or "wet" after washing is not good for them until fully dry to prevent mildew from forming. As like your own hair, they should be air dried or blow dried BEFORE sealing them or storing them in any box.

How long will my Extensions last?
Depending on how often you wear them, style them, wash them, treat them, or how much product you use on them depends. However, because they are 100% human hair, they are likely to last anywhere from months to about a year (possibly longer if you take really good care of them).
